The former things have passed away… Behold, I make all things new (Rev. 21:4-5)

You May Let Your Servant Go in Peace

That is a recurring refrain in our texts from the feast of February 2 and its octave.  I’ve prayed seeking to go in peace from this world to Heaven, but it seems the Lord is answering this prayer differently at the moment.  I presently find myself in a sort of transitional state, with new adventures on the horizon. Since it is going to take a lot of time and energy to work out all the details, I have been counseled to take a break from the blog and to focus on the more pressing matters at hand.  This, I think, is the best approach for now.  So I’ll not be posting for about a month—somehow you’ll just have to endure as you count the minutes passing on the clock!—but after that I should be ready to start banging on the keyboard once again and, God willing, offer you some beneficial spiritual reflections.  I’ll be grateful for your prayers during this interim period.  God is always at work making all things new for us, and we have to give Him the time and space He needs to perfect our interior lives.  See you next month!
